ClaroRead is a software program that develops and creates assistive technology, including speech, image and touch technology. ClaroRead for Mac is a text to speech program which can read aloud text on your computer. It has a free floating toolbar and works with Microsoft Word for Mac on documents you have produced or scanned in. It can read aloud web pages when you use the Safari browser. ClaroRead can also act as a screen reader, reading aloud icons and menu items. What can ClaroRead for Mac help with? The program can help you: hear documents and web pages read aloud, read, spell, proof read, change the colour of your computer screen, gather information for research, reduce visual tracking difficulties. Recently they have merged with the successful 'speech to text' software makers Dragon Naturally Speaking.
