A while back we ran a competition offering you the chance to win an Olympus digital recorder along with Olympus Sonority software.  Our winner was delighted with her prize and speaks very highly of both the digital recorder and the software.  It has really made a difference to her ability to study, take notes and complete assignments to a higher standard. Cloud storage: Dropbox & SkyDrive

Take a look at this introduction to Dropbox.  We thought we should share this again as we begin the second semester of the academic year, it is more important than ever to keep our files organised and in one place.    Using Dropbox and handy applications like DropVox that go hand-in-hand will help you to keep on top of everything during the next few months. What Is Dropbox? from Sandra Fox on Vimeo . If you're looking for an alternative to DropBox, you may be interested in SkyDrive, take a look at the video below for more info on the SkyDrive features... Visual Stress

For many year's I thought that my reading ability, concentration and memory all related to my dyslexia.  Many years later I discovered that visual stress caused by Irlen syndrome was creating many additional issues, I began using tinted glasses and overlays and found that much of my visual stress was relieved.  Here are a few tips on relieving visual stress.   David Hillel Burns has been a practising optometrist in North London for nearly three decades, working in his own practice in Tottenham, in North Middlesex and Whittington Hospitals, and as of 2011, he is now based in East Finchley, with a new practice featuring state-of-the-art equipment - which means that he can offer you a far better and more accurate diagnosis than many of the leading optician chains! David provides advanced services, including Irlen syndrome tests.   http://www.davidhillel.co.uk/     Cerium Visual Technologies   Beneficial reports of the use of colour for reading diffic
